3th Annual Palmetto Regional First Robotics Competition -The Myrtle Beach Convention Center again will be the site of the Palmetto Regional FIRST Robotics Competition, Thursday through Saturday, February 24 through 27, 2016. More than 60 teams of high school students from South Carolina and the East Coast will build their own robots to compete in this fast-paced event. Teams warm up Thursday, February 24, with robot inspections and practice rounds, followed by the high-energy tournament on Friday and Saturday. Admission is free! The public is invited to watch talented students put their math, science and engineering skills to work. All 12 Horry County high schools are expected to field a team.
19th Annual Myrtle Beach Marathon -The event hosts both a full- and half-marathon that takes runners through downtown Myrtle Beach, into The Market Common and down along Ocean Boulevard before ending at TicketReturn.com Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. So, what's not to love? Lace up those sneakers and plan to spend the first weekend in March in the Myrtle Beach area for the 2016 Myrtle Beach Marathon. The 2016 event is scheduled for March 3 through March 5.
55th Annual Canadian-American Days Festival -The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate 55 years of welcoming our Canadian and snowbird visitors to our 60 miles of pristine, sandy beaches! Once again, the red carpet will be rolled out and our neighbors from the north will feel at home with a lineup of fun events and concerts taking place along the Grand Strand. From March 12 through March 20, 2016, Can-Am Days attendees can choose from a variety of free events and activities. The Can-Am Days truly showcases Southern hospitality at its finest!
35th annual Blue Crab Festival -The 35th annual Blue Crab Festival will host lots of food, fun, arts, crafts and more! The event takes place along the Little River waterfront and hosts a kids' area with tons of games and things to do. Admission is $3 in advance or $5 in advance for a 2-day pass. Fourth Annual Native Sons Salt Games -Taking place annually in downtown Myrtle Beach, The Native Sons Salt Games is a two-day action packed experience celebrating the "beach life" located on the boardwalk between 8th and 9th avenue north. During the event, sponsors and partners located around festival grounds offer giveaways and live entertainment. Yearly, the Salt Games works with the Grand Strand chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to spread their mission of protecting and enjoying oceans, waves and beaches. A portion of all Salt Games proceeds are donated to the Surfrider Foundation to help fulfill those goals.

Myrtle Beach Mustang Week -Mustang Week 2016 will be held July 18-24. More details will be posted as they are released. Mustang Week, a celebration of Ford's most famous sports car, has grown into a gathering of hundreds of owners and enthusiasts who visit the area each year for one of the biggest car show events in Myrtle Beach. The 2015 Mustang Week event will take place July 14-18, 2015, with a variety of events taking place all over the area including at Broadway at the Beach, The Palace Theatre, Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Myrtle Beach Mall, Ocean Boulevard and more. The lineup of activities for each annual gathering includes meet and greets, cruise-ins, car shows, awards ceremonies, drag nights and more.
